We support teens navigating body image insecurities in performance-based and appearance-focused environments by providing recovery-focused tools, research-backed insight, and spaces for reflection and identity rebuilding. Rather than promoting appearance-based confidence or surface-level awareness, Body Beyond Beauty exists to help young people reconnect with their bodies as safe spaces of living, not objects of judgment.

Why We’re Here
In aesthetic and performance-based spaces such as rhythmic gymnastics, dance, artistic gymnastics, cheer, and other high-pressure environments, teens often equate their worth with their appearance, discipline, and control.
While awareness around body image has increased, access to recovery-centered resources has not.
Many teens are left knowing something is wrong, but not knowing how to rebuild their relationship and trust with their body, identity, or sense of self beyond performance.
Body Beyond Beauty was created to address that gap
We believe recovery is not about “fixing” a body, it is about:
– Reclaiming identity beyond appearance or sport
– Learning to listen to the body rather than control it
– Building sustainable, mentally healthy relationships with movement, food, and self-worth
Who We Serve
Body Beyond Beauty is centered on:
- Teens in aesthetic and performance-based sports
- Teens navigating body image worries, disordered eating, or identity loss related to performance
- Teens seeking recovery-focused support rather than appearance-based solutions
