About Me

My Story

Hi beautiful! My name is Adiya Mukhitdinov, and I’m a junior in high school who started Body Beyond Beauty in order to spread awareness, education, and love towards body dysmorphia/image and eating disorders.

As a former competitive rhythmic gymnast, I noticed the world of athletics around me was filled with toxicity and misunderstanding revolving body image. It was always tough for me to not compare myself to those around me who were succeeding, I continued to think, “How can I look like that?” or “What can I do different?” These thoughts spiraled over, and over, until it lead to bad habits.

After leaving the sport, I healed my relationship with food, but of course, still do struggle. I wanted to create Body Beyond Beauty in order to remind girls in any sport that you are beautiful and perfect the way you are.
